Girls on the Run year 2

Because I help coach, my 2nd grader got another opportunity to participate in the Girls on the Run program! (Normally this program is open to girls in 3rd-5th grades.) We had another great year together running the 5K at the end of the season.

This House Needs a Mouse!

Our school had the best author visit! C. Jeffrey Nunnally, the author of This House Needs a Mouse, gave a dynamic presentation which had our students looking for writing ideas in the most unlikely places. It was both fun and inspiring. This is the first author visit I've put together as a librarian, and I hope to do more!

Christmastime at Primrose

Ben had a party at his preschool, too!

Christmastime at SRES

What a wonderful holiday season for Bree during her 2nd grade year! We had a small BOGO book fair and a party in Ms. Bohnert's class.

The Preschool Book Fair

This is my 2nd year working as an elementary school librarian. The Scholastic Book Fair is a crazy busy fun time for me. So busy, that I didn't get any photos from our fair, but I did manage to take some of the fair at Ben's preschool. It is always such an exciting time and a great way to get excited for books while raising money for schools and libraries.

A Primrose Parade!

They love parades at Ben's preschool! For this multicultural parade, the kids wore art projects as they walked around the building. We then enjoyed some food back in Ben's classroom. He LOVES his teacher, Miss Kara.
