A Dirty Day

This September I joined an awesome group of women from work and headed out to Byers, Colorado to participate in the Dirty Girl Mud Run. This was my first 5K and something I am proud of! It was a beautiful day full of fun, laughter, teamwork, and mud. I am so fortunate to work with such amazing women. We even had a co-worker join us strictly to photograph the event - thank you to Eva for most of these photos!

Thankful for the North Pole

Over Labor Day Weekend the kids got together with their cousin Eva at one of our absolute favorite places, Santa's Workshop. Growing up I always just called it "The North Pole." It is a delightful short trip up Ute Pass and into a Christmas Fantasy Land. This year we were feeling particularly grateful as the Waldo Canyon fire had damaged much of the area, stopping just across the road from our favorite Christmas Village. Ben was captivated by the busy helicopters in the area dropping mulch onto the burn to help prevent erosion.

And they're off!

Such a simple walk from Joe's House to our beloved Ditch Plains Beach!

LIGF

The last time we were at the Long Island Game Farm, Ben was a little baby and never left his stroller. On his Daddy-Ben trip in 2012 he was a bit more active!
