Welcoming Elfie!

 Just after Thanksgiving, our doorbell rang. Sitting on our front porch were Christmas presents! The kids were excited by the coloring books and crayons, but the most special present was inside a box covered in postmarks from around the world. When we opened the box we were delighted to find an elf! We named him Elfie and welcomed him to the family. He arrived to keep us company (and keep an eye on us) until Santa Claus arrived.

First Grade History Project

This year Bree had the opportunity to complete a history project for her class. When she said she wanted to try making soap, I knew just the right person to help. Great-Aunt Carolyn has all of the materials and expertise, and Bree enjoyed working on this one Sunday evening in her home. Thank you Aunt Carolyn!
