Big Thunder Mountain
This is one of our absolute favorite family Disney rides. It was the first time Bree had worn a princess dress in the parks, and this is the ride we got into line for first. She was greeted by the cast members as "Queen Elsa" and asked that she not freeze anything today. This made quite the impression on her! And Ben, well, he was just happy to snack on beef jerkey in line.
Good Morning, Princess Bree
After donning her Elsa gown, Bree spent a few morning minutes on our hotel room balcony enjoying the sun and anticipating an exciting day ahead.
Our Favorite Mouse
Love what Ben is doing in this picture!
Hanging out with Mickey the Mouse is a joy. I imagine this will always be a magical activity for our family.
Pool Break
We took a mid-day break to head back to the hotel for some pool time. It was a bit chilly, but that has never stopped our kids, and I enjoyed the robes the hotel provided!
The Scream Contest
We had arrived early for the park opening, and got to help open one of the rides as well. We stumbled upon Sully outside the Monsters Inc. ride. He invited Bree to join in to a scream contest. The kid with the best scream would get to be the first to ride that day, and could skip the line on that ride all day long! Bree did not win, however, we had a lot of fun participating.
Warm Hugs
We are no strangers to snow, but still enjoyed playing with the fake snow that was part of the Olaf meet and greet area.
At Rope Drop February 2nd
I was super excited to get to be at rope drop this morning for the park opening! Saying at the Grand Californian and using the special park entrance is so awesome.

Ben's Detour
At the end of a full day in the park we were making our way through DCA towards our hotel entrance (staying at the Grand Californian was such a treat!). Suddenly, Ben turned left and seemed to be on a mission somewhere. Close behind, I asked him where he was going. Turned out that he remembered where his beloved Cars friends hang out and, despite our exhaustion, just had to stop to say goodnight to Mater. I love these pictures!
Indiana
This wonderful daughter of mine will ride anything! Here we are enjoying the Indiana Jones ride together at Disneyland. On this particular occasion, the ride was stopped and we were able to sit in one place for awhile to really take in some of the theming around us.
