Hamp Hut, Troop 953

The Hamp Hut is a girl scout cabin located in Garden of the Gods. Our girls were lucky to get to camp there the weekend that school got out. Bree reported that her favorite activity was the night hike! She had a great time with Katherine, Alexa, Meg, Alyson and her troop leaders. 

Mitchell HS

Bree and I attended a dance recital at my former High School, Mitchell. (Our cousins Madi Lauer and Logan Hathaway are incredible dancers.) I was unable to get photos of the dancing, but did take some of Bree in my alma matter. 

Pierced Ears!

Bree decided she wanted to get her ears pierced! Grammie joined us on our trip to Claire's at the mall. There was only one person working at the store who could pierce, so she had to be extra brave and have them done one at a time. Sitting in Grammie's lap helped calm her fears. She had spots marked on her ears, and then the store clerk used a piercing tool. The earrings she chose were adorable blue flowers. Such a brave girl! 

Girls on the Run year 2

Because I help coach, my 2nd grader got another opportunity to participate in the Girls on the Run program! (Normally this program is open to girls in 3rd-5th grades.) We had another great year together running the 5K at the end of the season.

A Hail of a Storm

Weather in Colorado is never dull. These pictures look like a spring snowfall. Don't be fooled! This is hail, from a fast moving storm on an otherwise beautiful day. Luckily we didn't sustain damage. (Lots of hail but not too big.) It sure made for an adventurous afternoon.
